UEFA: TEAM Marketing and Relevent awarded 2024-2027 club competition media rights (press)

The marketing of the media rights to UEFA's club competitions for the 2024-2027 cycle has been awarded to the Swiss agency TEAM Marketing (global rights outside the USA), and to the US company Relevent Sports Group (promoter and media company) for the United States market, according to the New York Times on 03/02/2022.

TEAM Marketing has been marketing the media rights to the Champions League since its inception in 1992. The Swiss agency has been in charge of all commercial rights since then, but the article does not specify whether sponsorship rights are included in this new deal.

Relevent, which organises the International Champions Cup, has reportedly spent more than $250m (€218m) a year to acquire the rights for the US market. The US broadcasting rights to the European Cups are currently held (2021-2024 cycle) by the broadcasting groups CBS (English language) and Univision (Spanish language) for an estimated $140m (€122m) to $150m (€130m) per season.
