TotalEnergies AFCON Cameroon 2021: 639,000 viewers in France for the final (Senegal - Egypt) on TMC

Senegal - Egypt (0-0, 4-2 on penalties), final of the TotalEnergies AFCON Cameroon 2021, drew an average of 639,000 viewers in France on the free DTT channel TMC (TF1 group), on Sunday 06/02/2022 (kick-off at 20:00 CET), according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie.

This figure represented an audience share of 2.9% and ranked TMC eighth in the French audiovisual market at prime time on 06/02/2022.

During the Total AFCON 2019 (held in Egypt), the final Senegal - Algeria (0-1) drew an average of 1.613 million viewers on TMC, on Friday 19/07/2019 (kick-off at 21:00 CET). Audience share: 10.1%.

For both editions, TF1 group acquired the free-to-air broadcasting rights for the finals, for its channel TMC, from the pay-TV group beIN Sports France, which broadcasts all matches of the competition.
