Rewe, a retail group based in Cologne (North Rhine-Westphalia, GER), has become a shareholder of SK Gaming, announced the Cologne-based esports organisation on 03/02/2022.

Rewe joins the group's other shareholders:
• Deutsche Telekom (telecommunications, since 17/12/2019)
• Daimler AG/Mercedes-Benz (automotive industry, since 15/01/2019)
• 1. FC Köln (Bundesliga, since 15/01/2019)
• Alexander T. Müller, CEO of the esports structure

Prior to the acquisition of Rewe's stake, the four shareholders each held 25% of SK Gaming's shares. The new distribution resulting from this most recent transaction has not been communicated.

"This landmark deal marks a particularly exciting milestone for SK Gaming as we enter our 25th anniversary as a club (founded in 1997)," said the esports organisation, which has a LoL team that plays in Riot Games' League of Legends European Championship (LEC). Rewe has been an "official nutritional partner" and sleeve sponsor of SK Gaming since a sponsorship agreement on 06/12/2021.
