FC Barcelona: Ferran Reverter, CEO since 01/07/2021, resigns due to "personal and family reasons"

"Ferran Reverter has informed FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) president Joan Laporta today of his wish to renounce the position for personal and family reasons," announced the club on 08/02/2022. He will remain as Barça's CEO until his successor is appointed.

"Reverter was officially appointed CEO of FC Barcelona on 01/07/2021 and since then has led a project to restructure the club and the 2021-2026 Strategic Plan, with such achievements as the restructure of the debt, approval by the club members of the funding of Espai Barça, reduction of the payroll, agreements with new partners, and others," explained the Catalan club.

"The president and his board of directors wish to publicly express their gratitude to Ferran Reverter for his commitment and good work as head of the FC Barcelona executive during this time," added the club.
