Italy: Lega Serie A looking for successor to Paolo Dal Pino, who resigned as president on 01/02/2022

17 blank (halfway between abstention and participation) and two void votes were cast during the Lega Serie A general assembly, held at the Palazzo Parigi in Milan (ITA) on 07/02/2022.

The Italian professional league must elect a new president as successor to Paolo Dal Pino who resigned on 01/02/2022. In the first two ballots, a qualified majority of 14 out of 20 votes (i.e. 70%, a score higher than two thirds) is required to be elected. Thereafter, a simple majority (11 votes) is sufficient (article 9, paragraph "6 d" of the Lega Serie A statutes, document available to download). The next general assembly cannot take place before 14/02/2022 (the rules require at least seven days between two meetings).
