esports: launch of the second season of the eLigue 1 Tour, the LFP's international competition

The Ligue de Football Professionnel has presented the second season of the eLigue 1 Tour, the LFP's international esports competition to be played in eight regions of the world (19 countries) "from February 2022," announced the body on 08/02/2022.

Season 2 of the eLigue 1 Tour will take place in Latin America, the Middle East, the United States, Morocco, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Kenya (compared to six countries in 2021, including Brazil and Japan).

"Played on FIFA 22 (published by EA Sports) and open to all, gamers and football fans of all levels, the competition aims to promote the French championship to a young target audience in key territories for its development," said the LFP. In France, the League has also been organising a professional esports competition since 2016, namely the eLigue 1, as well as a tournament for amateurs, the Open eLigue 1, since 2021.

• Since 2021, the LFP has been supported by Freaks 4U Gaming, a marketing agency specialised in esports, in charge of the global management of the competition.
