Neil Warnock (ENG) was appointed manager of Crystal Palace (Premier League) through 2015-16, the club announced on 27/08/2014. He will replace Tony Pulis, who had resigned two days before the start of the 2014-15 Premier League season against Arsenal (2-1 defeat), on 14/08/2014.

Neil Warnock, 67, was previously the manager of Leeds United (Championship, second English division) from 19/02/2012 to 01/04/2013. He has already managed Crystal Palace from 11/10/2007 to 28/02/2010.

Malky Mackay (SCO) was the favourite to become the manager of Crystal Palace. The British newspaper The Daily Mail published, on 21/08/2014, the racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic and racist messages that were sent from 2011 to 2013 between Malky Mackay and Iain Moody, who were at the time, respectively, the manager and technical director of Cardiff City.

Following the publication of these messages, the FA (Football Association) opened an investigation of Malky Mackay and Iain Moody on 21/08/2014.
