Asics: a turnover of €3bn (+22.9%) and operating profit of €165m in 2021

Asics has posted a turnover of JPY 404bn (€3.05bn as of 31/12/2021) for the 2021 financial year up 22.9% versus the previous year, according to the Japanese equipment manufacturer on 10/02/2022. In particular, global sales in the running category rose by 31% to JPY 208bn (€1.57bn).

Asics posted an operating profit of JPY 21.94bn (€165m) in 2021, compared with an operating loss of JPY 3.95bn (€30m) in 2020. The equipment manufacturer posted a net profit of JPY 9.4bn (€71m) in 2021, versus a loss of JPY 16bn during the previous financial year.

"Asics EMEA reported a consolidated net revenue increase of 13.7% in 2021, increasing operating income by 121.8% to €83.1m versus 2020," said the group.
