OL Groupe: total revenue of €116.1m (-5.8%) and EBITDA of €14.7m for the first half of 2021-22

OL Groupe posted a total revenue of €116.1m (including player trading) for the first half of 2021-22 (01/07 to 31/12/2021), down 5.8% compared to the first six months of 2020-21 (€123.3m), announced the holding company that owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), on 15/02/2022. Excluding player trading, turnover was up 7.1% to €75m.

While revenues from TV and marketing rights were down €13.7m, OL benefited from an increase in ticketing revenues (+€12.3m) and "Events" revenues (+€3.4m) thanks to the easing of sanitary restrictions following the Covid-19 crisis. Revenue from partnerships (+€1m) and branded products (+€2m) also increased.

The group posted a net loss of €27.1m, nearly half the amount recorded a year earlier (-€50.6m). Gross operating profit (EBITDA) also improved significantly to €14.7m, compared with a loss of €9.3m over the same period in 2020-21. These results attest to "significant recovery in the Group's activity."
