Premiership Rugby: Kimono House (consortium) officially acquires controlling stake in Saracens RFC

Kimono House Limited, a consortium of international investors (see below), has acquired a majority stake in Saracens RFC (Gallagher Premiership Rugby) and is proceeding with a £32m (€37m) capital increase, announced the club on 16/02/2022.

This confirms the club's initial announcement on 02/10/2021 that the consortium of international investors led by Dominic Silverster, CEO of Entsar Group (insurance), includes Neil Golding, Saracens RFC's current chairman, who will retain his position. Nigel Wray, the club's owner, will retain a minority stake in the club.

"Aside from maintaining the club's position at the top of the men's game, the new funds will be used for a variety of other purposes, including completing the redevelopment of the West Stand; further investment in women's sport; and the establishment of a high performance training centre," said the club, which has returned to the English top flight for the 2021-22 season, after winning the RFU Championship (second division) in 2020-21.
