Bundesliga: Signal Iduna extends naming rights to Borussia Dortmund's stadium until 30/06/2031

Signal Iduna, a German insurance and financial services company, has extended its naming rights for Borussia Dortmund's stadium, the "Signal Iduna Park" (81,365 capacity), until the end of the 2030-31 season, announced the club on 28/02/2022.

Signal Iduna, a minority shareholder of the club, has held the naming rights to the stadium (formerly the Westfalenstadion) since October 2005 and has been a sponsor of Borussia Dortmund since 1974, i.e. for 48 years. "No other partner has been at BVB's side as long," said the club, owner of Signal Iduna Park.

The Dortmund-based group also remains a "champion partner", the second level in the German club's sponsorship hierarchy, and continues to benefit from visibility on signage at the stadium as well as on Borussia Dortmund's communication media.

The new contract is reportedly worth a total of €100m over nine seasons (2022-2031), or €11.1m per year, according to the German daily Bild.
