LaLiga: a €48m contribution to prepare Spanish athletes for Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

The Team España Élite programme, launched by the CSD on 23/02/2022 and dedicated to the preparation of Olympic and Paralympic athletes, will be allocate €16m per year until the Paris 2024 Games, i.e. a total of €48m, financed by LaLiga funds, according to the Spanish professional football league on 24/02/2022. These sums are in addition to the existing subsidy schemes and their use will be the result of coordination between the CSD, the Federations and the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE).

"The LaLiga clubs have been supporting Spanish sport for years, not only through financial aid, but also through the visibility that LaLiga has at national and international level and with the support in the exchange of technological knowledge, with LaLigaSportsTV (LaLiga's multi-sports OTT platform launched in March 2019) as the main example of this collaboration," said the body.
