Nissan Europe: Thiemo Jahnke appointed general manager of brand management and communications

Thiemo Jahnke (GER) was appointed general manager of brand management and communications at Kia Motors Europe, announced the Japanese automobile manufacturer on 29/08/2014.

Thiemo Jahnke, 37, will replace Lisette Nieuwenhuis, who will remain at Nissan Europe. He previously was the advertising manager of Kia Motors Europe from 2010 to 2014.

Notably, Thiemo Jahnke will be in charge of Nissan's sponsorship contract with the Champions League. The Japanese brand became the official partner of the Champions League through 2017-18 on 07/04/2014. As part of this deal, Nissan pays UEFA €54m per year. The Japanese brand will be displayed on the advertising boards in all of the fixtures of the competition. Nissan will also benefit from a media presence and different hospitality packages.
