War in Ukraine: LFP suspends broadcasting of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats in Russia

"The LFP has decided to suspend as of today the broadcasting contract of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats in Russia on the (pay-TV) channel Match TV," announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 04/03/2022.

The pay-TV group Match TV, which is owned by the Russian company Gazprom Media, itself owned by the parent company Gazprom (energy supplier), holds the broadcasting rights to the Ligue 1 Uber Eats in Russia for the 2021-2024 cycle.

The LFP's international broadcasting rights are marketed by the Qatari pay-TV group beIN Media Group.

Gazprom's sponsorship contracts with UEFA and FC Schalke 04 (2.Bundesliga) were both terminated on 28/02/2022.
