War in Ukraine/AS Roma: shirt auction to support the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees

The players of AS Roma (Serie A TIM) wore a shirt bearing the crest of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and a heart in the colours of the Ukrainian flag "to raise awareness of the ongoing humanitarian crisis the victims of war are currently suffering" during the club's match versus Atalanta BC (0-1, Matchday 28 of the Serie A) on 05/03/2022.

These shirts will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to the UNHCR to support Ukrainian refugees following Russia's invasion of the country led by Vladimir Putin. At the same time, "the club has delivered an initial donation of 2000 winter clothing items for newborns, desperately needed in the current circumstances, along with a further 1000 such items for younger children," said AS Roma, which has also opened collection points in the city of Rome (ITA) for its supporters to drop off essential items.
