2021-22 Serie A TIM: attendance for Matchday 28 (24,120 spectators on average/game, season record)

Matchday 28 of the 2021-22 Serie A TIM season drew an average attendance of 24,120 spectators per game from Friday 04 to Sunday 06/03/2022. This figure represents the best attendance in the Italian championship since the start of the 2021-22 season. The average fill rate was 59.5%.

Following the publication of a new decree relaxing the sanitary measures against Covid-19 in Italy in the Gazzetta Ufficiale on 18/02/2022, each stadium has once again been authorised - as was the case between Matchdays 8 and 19 - to welcome spectators for up to 75% of their capacity (compared to 50% since Matchday 24). The Italian government is currently studying the possibility of returning stadiums to full capacity by the end of March. The match between Italy and North Macedonia - one of the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers - to be held at the Stadio Renzo Barbera in Palermo (ITA) on 24/03/2022 (kick-off at 20:45 CET) could mark the end of capacity limits in Italian sports venues.
