Canal+ Group: a turnover of €5.77bn in 2021 (+373,000 subscribers in France in 1 year)

In 2021, the turnover of the pay and free-TV group Canal+ amounted to €5.77bn, up 4.9% compared to 2020 (+5.5% at constant currency and perimeter), according to the results published by Vivendi, a conglomerate of telecommunications and media companies and parent company of Canal+, on 09/03/2022.

"At the end of December 2021, Canal+ Group's total subscriber portfolio (individual and collective) reached 23.7 million, compared to 22.1 million at the end of December 2020 on a pro forma basis," explained Vivendi.

Turnover for television in mainland France increased by 2.9% at constant currency and perimeter compared to 2020. The total subscriber base in mainland France grew by 373,000 net subscribers over the last 12 months to 9.05 million.

International turnover increased by 4.7% at constant currency and perimeter compared to 2020, due to a further increase in the subscriber base (+1.2 million in one year). The total subscriber base outside mainland France stood at 14.7 million at the end of December 2021.
