Spain: LaLiga to launch an academy in Kuwait at the "end of 2022", its 10^th abroad

LaLiga, in partnership with Austrian Business Development Group (ABDG), a business development consultancy, will open an academy in Kuwait to contribute to "the development of professional football in the country, as well as empowering young people through sport," announced the body on 15/03/2022. The launch of the programme is scheduled for "the end of 2022."

Prior to the launch of the academy, "in May of this year, the Jaber Stadium (Ardhiyah, KUW) will host tryouts, where LaLiga coaches will identify the most promising young Kuwaiti talents and give them the opportunity to get one of the scholarships to study for a year in the new long-term LaLiga Grassroots programmes that will be run at the new ESC Madrid Centre: LaLiga Talents and LaLiga Academy, two programmes that combine sporting and academic training with five scholarships for this summer's LaLiga Camps in Madrid (see below)," said the Spanish professional league.
