Netherlands: 94% of Dutch fans consider the stadiums to be high quality (KNVB-Eredivisie study)

94% of Dutch fans believe that the Dutch first division stadiums are very good, according to a collaborative study by the KNVB (Dutch FA) and the Eredivisie (first division of the Netherlands) of the 2013-14 season.

This survey has been conducted annually since 2009-10. 85,000 season ticket holders and fan card holders (to acquire ticket packages) were interviewed for this study in 2013-14.

The Dutch league averaged 19,434 spectators during the 2013-14 season, for an average occupancy rate of 88%. Ajax Amsterdam have the best average attendance with 50,871 spectators (fill rate: 96.6%).

There are 14% women among the Eredivisie fans. The average age of the fans is 44. 18% of fans play some type of organised football.

86% of spectators enjoy the stadium atmosphere in the Eredivisie. 97% consider themselves safe at the stadiums.

77% of spectators visited stadium dining areas during the season. Though only 40% consider the products sold to be of good quality. The average food purchase of a consumer is 11 euros.
