The 2022 Formula One World Championship season begins with the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sakhir International Circuit from Friday 18 to Sunday 20/03/2022.

The 10 competing teams were originally scheduled to take part in 23 Grands Prix over the course of the season, compared to 22 races in 2021 (23 planned at the start of the season). However, Formula One Group has terminated its contract with the Russian Grand Prix following Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine on 24/02/2022. No replacement has been announced as of 17/03/2022.

The 2022 season will include the first ever Miami Grand Prix (USA) from 06-08/05/2022, while the Singapore Grand Prix (SIN) will return to the calendar after a two-year absence due to the pandemic. The season will end with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (UAE) from 18-20/11/2022.

Three teams have a new title sponsor in 2022: Oracle (cloud, USA) joins the "Oracle Red Bull Racing" team, Saudi Aramco (oil, KSA) becomes co-title sponsor of the "Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team" and BWT (water treatment, AUT), former title sponsor of Racing Point (in 2020)…
