Bundesliga: Wefox (insurance) to become main shirt sponsor of 1. FC Union Berlin (2022-2025)

Wefox (formerly known as ONE Versicherung AG), an online insurance company based in Berlin (GER), has extended its partnership with 1. FC Union Berlin (Bundesliga) to become the club's main shirt sponsor for three seasons (2022-2025) from 2022-23, announced Union Berlin on 17/03/2022.

Wefox has been the Berlin club's sleeve sponsor since 2019-20, for an estimated €700,000 per season. From 2022-23, the German group founded in Switzerland in 2015, which currently has the status of premium partner (2^nd level), will become a main partner (1^st level). Wefox will succeed Aroundtown SA, a Luxembourg real estate company, which was the main shirt sponsor of Union Berlin for 2019-2021, for an estimated €2.25 per season.

Wefox has also become the first back shirt sponsor of AC Milan (Serie A TIM) from 2021-22, on 21/02/2022. As a premium partner (2^nd level), the German insurer is reportedly paying €6-8m per season to the Milanese club, according to the Italian media on 18/02/2022. "Wefox is now officially expanding to Italy, launching its innovative insurance products in the market in March…
