2021-22 Bundesliga: attendance for Matchday 27 (31,698 spectators on average per game)

Matchday 27 of the 2021-22 Bundesliga season drew an average of 31,698 spectators per match from Friday 18 to Sunday 20/03/2022. The average fill rate was 68.5%.

Three out of nine matches posted an attendance of 25,000 spectators, a partial capacity which was the norm at federal level (up to 75% of a stadium's capacity), but from which local authorities could deviate depending on the health situation in their area.

VfB Stuttgart were thus able to welcome 55,785 spectators to the Mercedes-Benz Arena (60,449 capacity) against FC Augsburg (3-2) on 19/03/2022 (kick-off at 15:30 CET), the highest attendance of the matchday.

Most German clubs will finally be able to welcome their spectators without any capacity limit as of Matchday 28 (see programme below).

The average attendance for the Bundesliga is 19,474 spectators per game after 27 matchdays (excluding games played behind closed doors or which drew a symbolic attendance of 1,000 people or less), for an average fill rate of 44.3%.
