Qatar 2022: only 15 of 32 teams have qualified, with eight months to go before kick-off

10 European teams (Denmark, Germany, France, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Serbia, England, Switzerland and the Netherlands), 2 South American (Brazil and Argentina) and 3 Asian (Qatar, host country + Iran and South Korea): 15 countries have already qualified for the 2022 World Cup (46.8%) as of 22/03/2022, just eight months before the opening match that will see the Qatari team compete at the Al Bayt Stadium (60,000 capacity) in Al Khor (QAT) on Monday 21/11/2022 (kick-off at 13:00 local time, 11:00 CET).

The draw for the final phase of this XXII World Cup (which will see the 32 teams divided into eight groups of four) will take place on Friday 01/04/2022. By then, the number of participating teams will have almost doubled with 14 additional teams:
