Qatar 2022: launch of a programme to recruit 20,000 volunteers across 45 fields

Recruiting 20,000 volunteers to work in 45 different fields at official and unofficial venues (stadiums, training sites, airports, fan zones, hotels, transport centres) during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar; such is the objective of the "Volunteer Programme" launched on Monday 21/03/2022, eight months from the opening match (Qatar - X) at the Al Bayt Stadium (60,000 capacity) in Al Khor (QAT) on Monday 21/11/2022 (kick-off at 13:00 local time, 11:00 CET).

"Behind every ticket, every TV shot, every game, and every goal, is another team. The volunteers are essential to the joyful and friendly atmosphere of the World Cup and provide incredible support to the operational delivery of the event. They will create memories that will last a lifetime for fans, players, media, Qatar and the world - as well as for themselves," said FIFA.

"Applicants must be at least 18 years old on 01/10/2022 and speak English - Arabic is an advantage. No previous experience is needed and candidates from all backgrounds and different parts of the world are welcome to apply," added the body.
