Deloitte Football Money League 2022: Bayern, Paris SG and Real lead in terms of commercial revenue

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) is the club that generated the most commercial revenue (sponsorship, merchandising and other commercial operations) in 2020-21, with a total of €345.2m, according to the Football Money League 2022 figures, published by the British branch of the audit and consultancy firm Deloitte on 21/03/2022. Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), which generated €337.4m and Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), with €321.6m, are second and third in the ranking in terms of commercial revenue.

FC Bayern Munich, which ranked third in the Money League in terms of total revenue, saw its commercial revenue decline by 4.2% in 2020-21 compared to 2019-20 (€360.5m). 

Of the Top 20 clubs that generated the most revenue, Paris SG posted the best growth in commercial revenue in absolute terms (+ €38.8m) while Leicester City FC is the club that posted the best increase in percentage terms (up 40% from €33m to €46.4m). Seven clubs have seen their commercial revenue increase from one season to the next, with an average of €16.2m in additional revenue for these seven organisations.
