CONCACAF: IMG to distribute international TV rights of competitions starting in 2015

The media and marketing rights agency IMG will distribute the international TV rights of the competitions organised by CONCACAF, announced the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football on 28/08/2014. The contract will begin in 2015; its length was not communicated.

IMG will market, outside of the CONCACAF member countries, the 2015 Gold Cup (United States, from 07 to 26/07/2015), the CONCACAF Champions League, as well as the U20 and U17 CONCACAF tournaments (Men's and Women's).

“The success of the US, Costa Rica and Mexico at the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, from 12/06 to 13/07/2014) is testament to the high standard of football in the region and will ensure increased interest in CONCACAF events around the world going forward," said Michael Mellor, the senior vice president and head of football of IMG Media.

The partnership also includes the distribution of the international TV rights of the 2014 UNCAF Central American Cup, which is hosted in the United States from 03 to 14/09/2014, as well as the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship, which is also hosted in…
