Qatar 2022: Crypto.com, official sponsor of the World Cup and first crypto partner of FIFA

Crypto.com, a Singapore-based crypto-asset company founded in 2016, has become an official sponsor of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, announced FIFA on 22/03/2022. The competition, organised in the Middle East for the first time, will take place in eight stadiums of the Persian Gulf emirate from 21/11 to 18/12/2022.

"The world’s fastest-growing cryptocurrency platform (10 million users) will be the exclusive cryptocurrency trading platform sponsor of Qatar 2022 and will benefit from significant branding exposure both within and outside the tournament’s stadiums. Crypto.com will activate its official sponsorship of the 2022 World Cup in many ways, including by providing opportunities for new and existing users to attend matches during the tournament or win exclusive merchandise," said the international body. This is FIFA's first sponsorship deal with a crypto company.
