Spain: LFP launches app for smartphones and tablets on its La Liga TV platform

The Spanish LFP (Professional Football League) launched an app for smartphones and tablets of La Liga TV, its online TV channel, on 25/08/2014. The app is available for free on the App Store (iOS) and on Google Play (Android).

Launched in February 2014, La Liga TV is a platform on the Spanish LFP's website that broadcasts live several Liga Adelante (the second Spanish division) fixtures, as well as highlights and exclusive VOD (Video On Demand) contents of the Liga BBVA (the first Spanish division). The new app of the Spanish LFP will thus enable its users to have access to the video platform on their tablets and mobiles.

The mobile version of La Liga TV will broadcast seven live games of the Liga Adelante each week, without geographical restrictions. La Liga TV will also broadcast video contents through the social network Twitter.

The official YouTube channel of the Liga BBVA has 369,673 subscribers as of 04/09/2014, whilst the Liga Adelante has 16,657.
