"As the situation in Ukraine has not evolved in a favorable way," the Euroleague Commercial Assets shareholders executive board has decided to exclude teams from the Russian Federation from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague (CSKA Moscow, UNICS Kazan and Zenit St Petersburg) and the 7Days EuroCup (Lokomotiv Kuban-Krasnodar) for the 2021-22 season, announced Euroleague Basketball on 22/03/2022. This decision is a consequence of the war waged by Vladimir Putin's Russia in Ukraine since 24/02/2022.

"As announced after the ECA Shareholders Executive Board held on 28/02/2022, all regular season game results versus Russian teams will be removed from any calculation of EuroLeague and EuroCup team standings," said the structure in charge of organising both competitions (see updated standings below).

CSKA Moscow is the only Russian club among the 13 shareholder clubs of Euroleague Commercial Assets.
