Netherlands: City Football Group to acquire NAC Breda (D2), its 5^th European club and 11^th in total

Wim van Aalst, Rob van Weelde and Paul Burema, the three main shareholders of NAC Breda (Keuken Kampioen Divisie, D2), have decided to sell their shares (about 70% of the club's capital in total) to City Football Group, announced Crossminds, the company in charge of the sale of the Dutch club, in a press release published on its website on 23/03/2022. In June 2021, the three businessmen had announced their intention to sell their shares acquired in January 2014.

"An agreement was reached this week with City Football Group, which already has a longstanding partnership with NAC, subject to approval by the Supervisory Board, the NOAD Foundation, the KNVB and the City of Breda (NED). This means the sales process is entering its final phase and the shareholders and City Football Group expect preparations for next season to start shortly," said Crossminds.
