FC Barcelona: UNHCR (UN) logo to replace UNICEF logo on the back of shirts (2022-2026)

As part of its collaboration with the United Nations, the FC Barcelona Foundation will replace the UNICEF logo with that of the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR, or ACNUR in Spanish) on the backs of the shirts of the club's men's (LaLiga Santander) and women's (Primera Iberdrola) teams for four seasons (2022-2026), announced Barça on 24/03/2022.

"This is part of an agreement reached by the FC Barcelona Foundation with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and Spain for UNHCR which over four seasons, will entail a cash contribution of €400,000 per season for four projects (€100,000 per project and one per continent) plus an in-kind donation (valued by the club for €100,000 per season) of FC Barcelona sports equipment , as well as the technical expertise of the FC Barcelona Foundation’s sports specialists," said the club. The UNHCR logo will be displayed below the players' names.

"There are currently more than 82.4 million people forcibly displaced around the world (according to UNHCR data) - a figure that will only grow due to the war in Ukraine," added FC Barcelona.
