The transfer market value of the 20 Ligue 1 squads reached €1.44bn on 01/09/2014 according to the estimates by the specialised website Transfermarkt.de. This figure is inferior by €115.3m, or -7.4%, compared to the 2013-14 market value, on 01/09/2013 (€1.55bn).

The 2014-15 Ligue 1 squads have approximately the same value as on 01/11/2010, when they reached €1.4387bn. Their value then diminished by 5% to reach €1.37bn on 01/09/2011, and then increased by 2%, on 01/09/2012, to reach €1.39bn.

Paris Saint-Germain's squad is valued at €393.9m on the transfer market as of 01/09/2014. This figure represents 27.3% of the total value of the Ligue 1. Paris SG, AS Monaco (€134.9m), Olympique de Marseille (€125.6m) and Olympique Lyonnais (€101.2m) account for 52.4% of the 2014-15 market value of Ligue 1 clubs.
