Fan Tokens: Lionel Messi (ARG, Paris Saint-Germain), Socios.com ambassador for €18.2m over 2022-2024

Socios.com, a cryptocurrency blockchain platform owned by Maltese companies ChiliZ and Mediarex Sports & Entertainment, has partnered with Lionel Messi (Paris Saint-Germain, Ligue 1 Uber Eats) for three years (2022-2024), announced the fan token operator on 29/03/2022.

"Lionel Messi and Socios.com have joined forces, uniting to build a more inclusive, exciting and rewarding future for fans across the world," said the platform specialised in fan engagement operations. The deal is reportedly worth more than $20m (€18.2m), according to the British news agency Reuters.

"Fans deserve to be recognised for their support. They deserve opportunities to influence the teams they love," said the Argentinian footballer, who generated $33m (€29.1m) in revenue in 2021 according to data from the American business magazine Forbes.
