Qatar 2022: adidas present "Al Rihla" the official ball for the World Cup

adidas and FIFA have presented "Al Rihla", the official ball of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, on 30/03/2022. The 22^nd edition of the competition will take place in eight stadiums in the Persian Gulf emirate from 21/11 to 18/12/2022. The pro model of the ball is priced at €140.

"Al Rihla means 'the journey' in Arabic and is inspired by the culture, architecture, iconic boats and flag of Qatar. The bold, vibrant colours set on a pearlescent background represent the FIFA World Cup host country and the ever-increasing speed of the game. The 14^th successive ball created by adidas for the FIFA World Cup (since the 1970 edition in Mexico) travels faster in flight than any other in the tournament’s history, supporting high-speed and high-quality games," said the governing body, for which adidas is a "FIFA parter" (first level).
