adidas and FIFA have presented "Al Rihla", the official ball of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, on 30/03/2022. The 22nd edition of the competition will take place in eight stadiums in the Persian Gulf emirate from 21/11 to 18/12/2022. The pro model of the ball is priced at €140.

"Al Rihla means 'the journey' in Arabic and is inspired by the culture, architecture, iconic boats and flag of Qatar. The bold, vibrant colours set on a pearlescent background represent the FIFA World Cup host country and the ever-increasing speed of the game. The 14th successive ball created by adidas for the FIFA World Cup (since the 1970 edition in Mexico) travels faster in flight than any other in the tournament’s history, supporting high-speed and high-quality games," said the governing body, for which adidas is a "FIFA parter" (first level).

"1% of net sales of the Al Rihla ball will be donated to the Common Goal movement, which is committed to fighting inequality and supporting amateur football communities around the world. This is the first time that the proceeds from the sale of the official tournament…
