Michelin partners with the Brazilian federation through 2019

The French tyre manufacturer Michelin became the partner of the CBF (the Brazilian football federation) through 2019, the federation announced on 03/09/2014.

Michelin becomes the 15th sponsor of the Brazilian federation. The French tyre company will invest in football for the first time in its 126 years of existence. The Brazilian market represents more than 7% of the group's turnover.

The manufacturer aims to develop its reputation whilst also increasing its investments in Brazil. Michelin made official the acquisition of Sascar, the Brazilian company that specialises in fleet management and the security of transported goods, on 01/09/2014, for an amount of €440m.

Vivo (telecommunications), Extra (online sales) and Nestlé (food processing) are partners of the CBF through 2014 and all three are negotiating to extend these partnerships through 2019.
