France: Luzenac AP waive Council of State hearing, asks the FFF for return to 3rd division

"Luzenac AP (Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées club) demand, exceptionally, its re-integration into the National championship (French third division)," said Jean-Jacques Bertrand, one of the lawyers for the club, to News Tank on 05/09/2014.

"This application has already been sent to the FFF (French Football Federation)," added Mr. Bertrand, following the rejection of the interim measures introduced by Luzenac to the Administrative Court in Toulouse. This decision of the Administrative Court confirms the decision of the board of the LFP (Professional Football League), who declined the promotion of Luzenac to Ligue 2 on 27/08/2014. The FFF, organiser of the National championship, should render an decision quickly.

"Moreover, for practical reasons, the club will not go before the Council of State. With delays of two to three months for this procedure, the cause may then be no longer active," said Mr. Jean-Jacques Bertrand to News Tank.

The players and officials of Luzenac met Thierry Braillard, French Secretary of State for Sport, on 09/05/2014 in Toulouse.
