Real Madrid: €603.9m in revenue in 2013-14 (player transfers included), up 10.9% year on year

Real Madrid (Liga BBVA) recorded €603.9m in revenue for the 2013-14 season, an increase of 10.9% over the previous year, the Spanish club announced on 05/09/2014. "For the tenth consecutive year, Real will be the sporting institution with the highest income in the world," said Florentino Perez, the club's president.

Excluding capital gains realised on the sale of players, Real Madrid recorded a turnover of €549.6m in 2013-14, an increase of €29m (+5.5%) compared to the previous year. This is the third consecutive season that the club has annual revenues (excluding player transfers) of more than €500m. Between 1999 and 2014, Real Madrid highlights the fact that sales grew at an average annual growth of 12%.

Net profit amounted to €38.5m, up 4.4%. Club debt decreased 21% to €71.5m, a decrease of €19.1m compared to the previous season.

The validation of the accounts of Real Madrid must be submitted at the general meeting of the club socios (board of directors) on 21/09/2014.
