Qatar 2022: first match Senegal - Netherlands on 21/11/2022, Qatar to debut versus Ecuador

Senegal - Netherlands (Group A) is the first match of the 2022 World Cup at the Al Thumama Stadium (40,000 capacity) in Doha (QAT) on Monday 21/11/2022 with kick-off at 11:00 CET (13:00 local time). In the same group, hosts Qatar will face Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium (60,000 capacity) in Al Khor (QAT) on the same day (kick-off at 17:00 CET / 19:00 local time),  following the draw for the XXII World Cup made in Doha (QAT) on 01/04/2022.

In Group D, defending champions France will face the winner of the AFC (United Arab Emirates or Australia) - CONMEBOL (Peru) intercontinental play-off at the Al-Janoud Stadium (40,000 capacity) in Al Wakrah on Tuesday 22/11/2022 (20:00 CET). Their other two opponents are Denmark on Saturday 26 (17:00) and Tunisia on Wednesday 30/11/2022 (16:00).

In Group B, England will face, Iran, USA, and either Scotland, Wales, or Ukraine (see below).
