War in Ukraine/FIFA Congress: video message from the president of the Ukrainian Football Association

"We are grateful to everyone who sent us humanitarian aid, or even just called and asked how we were doing. This is all very important to us right now," said Andriy Pavelko, president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), in a video message (see below) broadcast during the 72^nd FIFA Congress in Doha (QAT) on 31/03/2022, referring to the war started in Ukraine by Russia on 24/02/2022.

"It is a pleasure to welcome the representatives of all but one of the world countries (Alexey Sorokin, representative of the Russian Federation, present at the FIFA Congress, read below), being in this room. Unfortunately, I cannot be with you today," said Andriy Pavelko, who wore a bulletproof vest adorned with the blue and yellow colors of Ukraine in the video recorded in front of the Orthodox monastery of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv (UKR).
