LFP/Commercial company: "We want to put France in the European Top 3 by 2027-28" (Vincent Labrune)

"(Our) international rights (€90m per season) represent barely 3% of what is generated in Europe, the domestic rights that we have today (€663m per season) are not the rule, but the exception! And there is digital, which is a real field of possibilities. So there are prospects for growth. The objective is to achieve €1.8bn in revenue by 2028. We want to put France in the European Top 3 by 2027-28," said Vincent Labrune, president of the LFP, on the L'Équipe website on 01/04/2022.

"The general assembly of the LFP (which met on 01/04/2022) unanimously approves the creation of the commercial subsidiary and the firm investment commitment by CVC of a total amount of €1.5bn in its capital, intended to support the development of the entire French football ecosystem," announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 01/04/2022.

This approval came "following the competitive investor search process conducted by the LFP since autumn 2021 and its entry into exclusive negotiations with CVC on 18/03/2022," said the French League.
