LaLiga Santander: FC Barcelona's extraordinary assembly ratifies the partnership with Spotify

"The extraordinary assembly of FC Barcelona delegate members (socios) has ratified the partnership agreement between FC Barcelona and Spotify, by which the audio platform will become the main partner of the club and the official audio streaming partner," announced the Catalan club on 02/04/2022.

Of the 701 voters, 625 voted in favour of the agreement, representing 89% of delegate members, 49 people voted against (7%) and 27 were blank votes (4%). "As only a simple majority vote was required to ratify the agreement, the Assembly gave their support to the Board of Director's decision with a clear majority," explained Barça.

"Due to a confidentiality clause that applies to Spotify's commercial policy in all its global agreements, we cannot give exact figures (of the agreement), but we can say that it is the best strategic proposal, from an economic and business point of view, that FC Barcelona has ever received," explains Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelona.
