2021-22 Bundesliga: attendance for Matchday 28: an average of 35,600 spectators/game, season record

Matchday 28 of the 2021-22 Bundesliga season drew an average of 35,600 spectators per match from Friday 01 to Sunday 03/04/2022. The average fill rate was 88.8%. This is the best attendance for the German championship since the start of the season.

The majority of German stadiums can finally accommodate their spectators without any capacity restrictions. Five of the nine clubs that played at home on Matchday 28 posted a fill rate above 95%.

Borussia Dortmund - RB Leipzig (1-4) on Saturday 02/04/2022 (kick-off at 18:30 CET) was the match that posted the best attendance with 81,365 spectators at the Signal Iduna Park, for a 100% fill rate.

The average Bundesliga attendance is 20,162 spectators per game after 28 matchdays (excluding games played behind closed doors or which drew a symbolic attendance of 1,000 people or less), for an average fill rate of 46.1%.
