Serie A: AS Roma, without a shirt sponsor in 2014-15, expect an offer of €12m per year

AS Roma (Serie A), runner-up in the 2013-14 season, currently have a shirt without a sponsor for the 2014-15 season. The club expects at least a deal worth €12m a year for shirt sponsorship, reported the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport on 06/09/2014.

"If Roma have no shirt sponsor it is because its value is growing and we need to recognise that in the market, as well as its potential. We are confident because we find that the market is willing to recognise that value (of €12m per year)," said Mauro Baldissoni, the general manager of AS Roma, to Roma Radio on 06/09/2014.

Six other Serie A clubs (SS Lazio, Genoa CFC, US Palermo, UC Sampdoria, AC Cesena and ACF Fiorentina) have no main shirt sponsor in 2014-15. The highest Serie A shirt sponsor contract is from the Italian automaker Fiat, through its Jeep brand, to Juventus for an annual amount of €17m until the end of the 2020-21 season.
