2021-22 Bundesliga: 44,582 spectators per game on Matchday 29, best attendance since 2018-19

Matchday 29 of the 2021-22 Bundesliga season drew an average of 44,582 spectators per match from Friday 08 to Sunday 10/04/2022. To find a higher attendance figure we have to go back to Matchday 34, the last day of the 2018-19 season (46,542 spectators per game, Saturday 18/05/2019). The average fill rate was 92.3%, also a record for this season.

Since Matchday 28, the majority of German stadiums have been able host their spectators without any capacity restrictions. Of the nine clubs that played at home on Matchday 29, five posted a stadium fill rate above 90%.

FC Bayern Munich - FC Augsburg (1-0) on Saturday 09/04/2022 (kick-off at 15:30 CET) was the match that posted the best attendance with 75,000 spectators at the Allianz Arena, for a fill rate of 100%. This is only the second time this season that the Bavarian stadium has been permitted to host so many spectators.
