UEFA: €240m to be divided between clubs that release players for national team duty from 2020-2024

"€240m to be made available to clubs who have contributed to the successful staging of all UEFA's national team competitions by releasing players to those matches," announced the European body on 08/04/2022, the day after its executive committee meeting (07/04/2022).

"The available amount for the 2020-2024 cycle is as stipulated in the Memorandum of Understanding (document available to download) signed by UEFA and ECA in February 2019 (06/02/2019). The programme will cover matches of the UEFA Nations League, the European Qualifiers as well as the Euro 2024 final tournament and the distribution system will remain largely unchanged in comparison to Euro 2020," added UEFA.

According to UEFA the amount will be distributed as follows:
⚽️ "€100m will reward the release of players to the Nations League 2020-21 and 2022-23, as well as the European Qualifiers to Euro 2024. This represents an increase of €30m from Euro 2020 and will ensure more solidarity to a very large number of European clubs.
