The mayor of Rome says there is public interest in the AS Roma (Serie A) stadium project at Tor di Valle, southwest of the Italian capital, on 05/09/2014.

This will allow the municipality to finance €320m of the overall project. €195m (62% of the total) will be used to build access roads: €50.45m for the extension of the metro line B, €7.5m for a bridge between the station and the stadium, €38.6m for the Ostiense-Via del Mare road, and €93.7m for the construction of a new route between the Rome-Fiumicino motorway and the Ostiense-Via del Mare road. In addition, €5m will be used to protect the site from flooding of the Tiber. The remaining €125m is related to the land value of the site.

"The project will create 3,000 jobs during the construction phase (the stadium and access roads). These 3,000 new jobs will be sustained in the maintenance of the site," said Ignazio Marino, the mayor of Rome.

AS Roma introduced a private 52,500 seat stadium project on 26/03/2014. The stadium, which the club hopes to occupy in 2017, will cost €300m. A joint venture between AS Roma and the future…
