England: FA launches "Together for England" campaign to support national team for Euro 2016

The FA (Football Association) launched the "Together for England" campaign to bring the English national team closer to its fans during the qualifying round of the Euro 2016 (France, from 10/06 to 10/07/2014), on 04/09/2014.

As part of this campaign, developed with the marketing agency Futureproof, the FA will create a private hospitality box in Wembley Stadium for its supporters during England's home fixtures. Some players, such as Wayne Rooney, Raheem Sterling and Jack Wilshere, will feature in the promotional campaign alongside supporters.

“The beginning of the qualifying round of the Euro 2016 also provides the opportunity to build a connection with England fans. The aim of ‘Together for England’ is to revive fans’ belief by demonstrating passion and pride,” said Russell James, head of marketing of the FA, on 04/09/2014.

England were eliminated in the group stage of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil (England finished last in Group D, behind Costa Rica, Uruguay and Italy, with no wins, one draw and two defeats). Their only victory in a major international tournament (World Cup or Euro…
