"One Ligue 1 match per month will be available to Prime subscribers (€5.99 per month or €49 per year), without the need to subscribe to the Pass Ligue 1 (€12.99 per month). Furthermore, we will not charge for the Ligue 1 Pass in June and July (during the off-season)," said Bernard Châtillon, head of sports France for Amazon's Prime Video streaming service, during a press conference on 12/04/2022.

Amazon has already broadcast several Ligue 1 matches for Prime subscribers (without the Pass Ligue 1) since the start of the 2021-22 season and is therefore introducing this format on a regular basis.

"There are over a million viewers watching the best Sunday night Ligue 1 fixtures. Our subscribers are satisfied and the feedback from football stakeholders on our editorial coverage is also positive. In less than a year we have managed to establish ourselves as a credible player in the sports world with our coverage of Roland-Garros and Ligue 1," said Bernard Châtillon, who repeated the figures announced by Alex Green, Amazon's managing director of sport for Europe, on 21/12/2021.
