Justice: Joseph Blatter and Michel Platini before the Swiss Federal Criminal Court (08-22/06/2022)

Joseph Blatter (SUI), former FIFA president (1998-2015) and Michel Platini (FRA), former UEFA president (2007-2015) will appear before three judges of the Criminal Chamber of the Federal Criminal Court of Bellinzona (Ticino, SUI) from Wednesday 08 to Wednesday 22/06/2022 (i.e. 11 days of hearings, programme available to download), accused of fraud and breach of trust (see below), announced the Swiss court on 12/04/2022.

The charges against Joseph Blatter and Michel Platini, according to the document filed by the Swiss Federal Prosecutor's Office (MPC) on 02/11/2021, state that they "unlawfully arranged a payment of CHF2m (or €1.54m at the time of the events) from FIFA to Michel Platini."
