Italy/fictitious capital gains: sanctions against 11 clubs and 61 directors requested

A 12-month ban for Andrea Agnelli, president of Juventus FC, a fine of €800,000 for the club itself, an 11-month and 5-day ban for Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of SSC Napoli, and a fine of €392,000 for the Neapolitan club, these are some of the sanctions requested by Giuseppe Chiné, the Federal Prosecutor, at the end of his closing arguments on the first day of the trial on capital gains before the FIGC's National Federal Court in Rome (ITA) on 12/04/2022.

11 clubs (including five from the Serie A TIM: Juventus FC, SSC Napoli, Genoa CFC, UC Sampdoria and Empoli FC) and 61 persons, directors and senior officials, are concerned by this trial, which opened before the court presided over by Carlo Sica on 12/04/2022.

Juventus FC, the club most involved in the capital gains investigation (45 pages are devoted to the club out of 250 pages in the investigation report), are due to be heard by videoconference on the morning of Thursday 14/04/2022.
